EXCITING EVANGELISM PLANNED FOR AFRICA 2010

2010 is promising to be a hugely significant year for South Africa, as the country is caught up in the excitement of the Fifa 2010 Soccer World Cup which will be hosted here in July.

But Christians around the country are excited for another reason – October will see the 3rd Lausanne World Congress on Evangelism taking place in Cape Town. And Evangelism is what excites the team at African Enterprise. It is our purpose and our calling before God. This year we will be partnering with Mission Africa, the mission arm of Lausanne III, in facilitating evangelistic outreaches across the continent in the 10 countries where AE has a presence.

The Missions departments at African Enterprise (both local South African and Pan African) are hard at work planning and preparing for Evangelistic outreaches in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Uganda, Rwanda, DRC, Ethiopia and also Sudan.

2010 marks 49 years of Evangelism on the African Continent for African Enterprise, and the team is no less passionate about bringing the Gospel message to the cities of Africa than it was in 1961.

2010, however, is an era that is vastly different to that of the 1960s. The technological revolution has brought us new ways of communicating the message, such as email, websites, Twitter, Facebook , and You Tube among others, but the message remains the same: Jesus died for our sins and we need to repent and put our trust in Him.

There are still people out there in the towns and cities of our nation who have not heard the message, and so, for African Enterprise, God’s calling remains the same:

“Go and evangelize the cities of Africa in word and deed, in partnership with the church.”

And here at AE SA, we are eager and ready to answer that call.
